Eric Swanson, Varsity Head Coach
Coach Swanson is in his second year as the Head Coach of the Anderson Trojans. He grew up in Watertown, South Dakota, and graduated in 2003 from Watertown High School. In high school, Coach Swanson was a multi-sport athlete, competing in football, basketball, as well as track. After high school, he attended South Dakota State University, graduating in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics. After college, Coach Swanson was hired back at his alma mater as a math teacher, middle school football coach, and assistant high school basketball coach. During that time, he was lucky to be a part of some very successful years in both the football and basketball programs. Coach Swanson, his girlfriend Britta, and their two dogs moved to Austin in 2014 in search of sunshine and new opportunities. That year, he began his career at Anderson High School as a math teacher and assistant coach in both basketball and football. During the 2021-22 school year, Coach Swanson also served as an interim athletic coordinator for Anderson Athletics, while still assisting with football and basketball. In the fall of 2022, he also began coaching water polo as an assistant during the school's inaugural season. Coach Swanson is committed to creating opportunities for kids to grow as students, athletes, and valued members of the community. His excitement about the future of Anderson Basketball is palpable, with his clear vision of leading this storied program. Go Trojans!

Jonathan Casper- varsity assistant and JV coach
Coach Casper joined our Anderson High School basketball program in 2024. He is from Conroe, Texas. In high school he participated in football, basketball, and track. After high school he attended Texas A&M and graduated class of 22’. He began his coaching career by leading teams in football, basketball, and track in Bryan, Texas. At the time he was also completing his masters in curriculum and instruction. Coach Casper teaches ninth grade World Geography at Anderson High School and looks forward to making his mark on the Trojan Hoops.
Jose Chavez- freshman a and varsity assistant coach
Coach Chavez started coaching at Anderson the 2017-2018 season. He attended La Joya High School, where he lettered in basketball and earned 1st Team All District honors. He graduated from Texas State University in 2017 with a BS in Exercise Sports Science and Life Science. Coach Chavez also teaches Biology and is the Head Cross Country Coach at Anderson High School. “Boe” Williams - Varsity Assistant
Coach Jonathan “Boe” Williams attended Del Valle High School, where he was a multi-sport athlete who excelled in football and basketball. Coach Williams graduated from Sam Houston State University in 2009. He majored in Criminal Justice and Political Science. After college, Coach Williams worked in the corporate sector before transitioning into coaching full time in 2012. Coach Williams is currently in his third year as a part of the football coaching staff and entering his second year as a basketball coach for Anderson. This season also marks his 11th year as a coach at Murchison Middle School, where he coaches football, basketball, and track.
Breun Crenshaw - freshman B and varsity assistant coach
Coach Crenshaw joined the Anderson High School basketball coaching staff in 2024. He is a proud Del Valle High School alumnus (class of 2012) who played varsity football. He graduated from Texas A&M University—Commerce in 2018, and he is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. With a passion for coaching, he is entering his fourth year in the field and thrilled to begin high school basketball coaching at Anderson High School. He is also a dedicated father to his three year-old son, Lincoln, a Chicago Bears fan, and an admirer of LeBron James. We are happy to have Coach Crenshaw as part of the Trojan Hoops team.
Athletic Trainers
Michael Busby - M.Ed, LAT, ATC
Hailing from the Florida panhandle, Coach Busby earned a BS in Sports Medicine/Athletic Training from the University of West Florida and then earned his master’s degree in education from the University of Texas at Tyler in 2004. Busby has over 13 years experience as an athletic trainer in both education and the military. He, his wife, Amanda (a veterinarian!) and two daughters live in Austin. During his free time, he enjoys running, cycling, and the great outdoors, but he is most happy being with his family and dogs. He is available to all student-athletes for injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation.
Amy Ngo -M.Ed, LAT, ATC
Coach Ngo was born and raised in Lincoln, NE, where she attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and earned a BS in Athletic Training in 2013, while working with UN athletes from women’s soccer and basketball, swimming/diving, and football. After graduation, she completed an athletic training internship with ESPN Wide World of Sports and Disney in Orlando, FL., and then attended Baylor University for graduate school, earning a Master of Science in Exercise Physiology in 2016. While there she acted as the Athletic Trainer for Riesel ISD’s high school and junior high athletes and completed an internship in a sports medicine and orthopedic clinic. In her free time, she enjoys playing volleyball, hiking, and spending time with friends and family. Coach Ngo started at Anderson in 2016 and acts as one of the athletic trainers for AHS athletics. She is an instructor for the Sports Medicine courses at Anderson.
